The Ritz-Carlton, Doha has introduced a new, winter inspired menu at Qatar’s most romantic, contemporary restaurant – La Mer.
Recently appointed Chef de Cuisine, William Khala, has added a variety of new dishes, combining the finest ingredients to provide guests with an unforgettable gastronomic experience. Khala said:
Through the menu at La Mer, visitors will be introduced to world of flavors which will tantalise the taste buds. I have ensured that there is a careful selection of dishes that beautifully complement each other yet tell a story on their own…for example, the ‘Thai One On’ dish elegantly combines the finest Hamachi with a selection of Thai flavours, bringing a taste of East Asia to the table. In contrast, the ‘Feel The Texture’ dish, combines a variety of textures using dukkah crusted scallops, raw cauliflower, roasted almonds, hibiscus and olive oil powder.’

The new seafood menu at La Mer restaurant is definitely one of the finest you can find in Doha. From appetiser to dessert, all dishes were impeccable. The dukkah-crusted scallops with raw cauliflower ‘cous cous’ had the best texture and really enlivened our senses.
The ‘Kid at Heart’ dessert that Chef Will prepared was truly mouthwatering and heart-melting once you see the chocolate soup pouring on top of his magical ensemble.
