Last month Northwestern University Qatar held a workshop to give prospective students an inside track on the university application process in Qatar, and this month they continue their sessions with three more workshops in a series called “Get Ready!” designed to educated students about applying to university.
The first workshop is on January 12th, and is called “A Decision Maker’s Perspective”.
It will give insight into the admissions officers decision-making process, and is open to the public.
The first workshop on December 8th, titled “Applications Essays 101” was run by ESL specialist Trish Seapy who led 150 students through writing personal statements and essays, and left students feeling more confident.
The third workshop is called “Discover Northwester University in Qatar” and will be on January 26th. It will enlighten prospective students on the media programs in communication and journalism that are offered at NU-Q and career opportunities.
The final workshop is called “Financing Your Education” and will elaborate on financing opportunities at NU-Q and the financial aid process. There will be a financial services representative to talk about merit and need-based financial aid.
So, if you’ve just finished high school, or are looking to further your education in Qatar, going to one of these free workshops would be a good idea! If you would like any further information or to sign up for a workshop, please have a look at NU-Q website or email Kody Gerkin at firstname.lastname@example.org.
