To honour its social responsibility, Hospitality Development Company (HDC), which manages and operates a number of restaurants at The Pearl-Qatar, is introducing ‘Charity Fridays’ where QR1 from each bill at all HDC outlets on Fridays only, will be donated to Qatar Charity on a monthly basis.
HDC Marketing Manager, Jawaher Al Fathaly, said:
People often think about giving to a charity but never seem to get around to it, so to have a promotion that really benefits more than just the restaurant and the guests is a really rewarding feeling.’
Those wishing to contribute to this goodwill initiative, have the choice to dine at HDC’s varied restaurant concepts including Pampano which offers casual Mexican cuisine, Tse Yang, the award-winning Chinese posh restaurant, Megu where contemporary Japanese food is served, Chocolate Bar, the famous café-restaurant concept from New York. For Lebanese food lovers, Burj Al Hamam and Al Tabkha are also on the list of donating eateries. Al Fathaly added:
It is an innovative, easy fundraising scheme which works beyond Ramadan, when people are mostly inclined to think about those less fortunate than themselves. Although HDC has an established charity scheme for the Holy Month, it is also seeking to benefit from busy Fridays at its outlets at The Pearl-Qatar, to add value to Qatar Charity’s noble causes upheld throughout the year. We highly appreciate the humanitarian role Qatar Charity is playing in Qatar, and HDC will continue to support these kinds of endeavors.’
