Sports and event management professionals from across the region attended the second edition of Josoor Hiwar – a series delivered by Josoor Institute, the education and training programme for FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ launched by the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy (SC).
The three-day online series featured expert insight from sports and events professionals in Qatar and around the world and covered a host of key topics including industry trends, the impact of COVID-19, sports diplomacy and future skills. The event also included a careers section for Josoor Institute alumni and delegates.
Launched in 2013, Josoor Institute offers education and training to sports and events industry professionals in preparation for the 2022 FIFA World Cup. It has helped thousands of professionals develop new skills and further their careers over the past eight years.
According to Josoor Institute Executive Director Afraa Al Noaimi, this type of industry gathering helps people to network with like-minded professionals and keep up with the latest business trends.
The dedicated careers section of the event allowed delegates and alumni to use virtual booths to meet with representatives from organisations such as Qatar Stars League, Aspire Academy, QF Sports, beIN SPORTS, Paris Saint-Germain, KAS Eupen, Save the Dream, UCFB and Buzztech.
