The 8th edition of Qatar International Boat Show (QIBS) at The Pearl Qatar was inaugurated this week under the auspices of Qatar Prime Minister and Minister of Interior HE Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani and Minister of Commerce and Industry, HE Mohammed bin Hamad bin Qassim Al Abdullah Al Thani.  

The exhibition officially opened for traders, marine life lovers and visitors and will run until Saturday, 20 November at 20-22, La Croisette, Porto Arabia at The Pearl Qatar.

HE Mohammed bin Hamad bin Qassim Al Abdullah Al Thani visited the various sections of the exhibition where he was introduced to participating companies. There are around 35 companies participating in this year’s edition and over 50 yachts are on display in addition to jets skis, water sports equipment and accessories.

Khalid Eissa Al Mannai, Chairman of Al Mannai Plus Events, the sole organiser of QIBS in Qatar said that a number of marine and non-marine equipment/products will be launched during the exhibition – 35 new model boats made in Qatar including a 25-feet yacht and two-speed boats; US-made Aquakart by Speed Moto; and two China-made electric compact and compact SUV by Chery Automobile. In addition, British-made COX Diesel Outboard Engine V8 -300 HP will be launched for the first time in the GCC and the Middle East by Gulf Yachts.

The 2021 QIBS also have a dedicated section for pre-owned yachts for sale. In addition, the Hospitality Development Company will officially open the restaurant, Shirvan Métisse Doha, during the exhibition.

Al Mannai Plus Events has been organising the QIBS since 2013. Al Mannai said that QIBS provides a platform to the local and regional marine industry, providing exclusive B2B opportunities to boat manufacturers, services providers, local dealers, suppliers and potential buyers.
