Paris Saint Germain (PSG) kicked off their Winter Tour in Doha this week with a number of events and activities around Qatar. The French team arrived to a warm welcome, with excited fans lining for photographs with their favourite football superstars.
The team visited the soon-to-open Doha Metro Station, where they had the opportunity to experience a ride to Al Wakra on the state-of-the-art railway system. They also visited the Al Wakra Stadium and see the preparations for the FIFA World Cup 2022. After returning to Doha, the PSG team visited Qatar Foundation to attend the inauguration of the PSG Football Academy. Other players also participated in individual and group interviews, where they answer questions related to topics such as the advantages of having trainings in Aspire Zone’s top-of-the-line sports facilities and their expectations for playing their first World Cup during winter in Qatar, come 2022.
The PSG Winter Tour also included a public training session at the Khalifa International Stadium. Fans get to cheer for their favourite PSG players and to observe the strenuous training they go through to prepare for the second half of the football season.
