The international law firm Patton Boggs LLP will partner with QDVC and Australia’s International Energy Centre later this September to host a series of workshops providing insights on reducing costs and identifying opportunities within the global projects, energy and carbon management spaces.
The two, day-long workshops, titled,‘Creating a Global Advantage and Delivering a ‘New Vision’ for Projects, Energy and Carbon Management,’ will be held in Doha on 18 to 19 September 2013, and enable organisations to better understand developments in projects, climate policy, and carbon offsets and their implications across international markets.
For more than 30 years, the law firm of Patton Boggs LLP has provided legal and policy advice to governments, government-owned corporations and private-sector clients requiring corporate and strategic advice throughout the MENA region and now, Australia. Partner Sonia M Barber and Of Counsel Simon Harrison, as well as Doha office Managing Partner Susan B Bastress, will facilitate the workshops in conjunction with representatives from QDVC and the International Energy Centre. In addition to discussion around these key topics, participants will engage in valuable exercises, including an ‘energy audit’ and an emissions trading simulation.
Members of Patton Boggs’ Energy and the Environment and Environmental Law practices have expertise and a comprehensive understanding of sustainability, carbon and offsetting, finance, commercialization, policy development, risk management and food and water security matters.
