HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al-Thani inaugurated the headquarters of the South Security Department anServices Centre in Al Wakra on 29 October 2015. 

The minister toured the administration building sections and was briefed on the latest facilities and security services as well as the modern electronic devices which contribute to the provision of services to citizens and residents. He also inspected Al -Wakrah Services Centre affiliated to the Unified Services Department, which provides all services relating to traffic, passport, and other services.

Brig Muhammad Ahmad Al Atiq, Asst. Director of Nationality, Borders and Expatriates Affairs Department said that the unified service complex building is set up in area of 2559 square meters and the available services include expatriates’ passport and traffic services. An additional building is setup for Qatari passports services with special areas for men and women and offers all services for the citizens including issuance of Qatari passports, identity cards and all related certificates for citizens.

Prime Minister Opens New South Security & Services Complex MOISpecial facilities are arranged for people with special needs and senior citizens with special entrance and counters.

The press conference held during the opening ceremony was attended by Brig. Hisham Ibrahim Al Qusaibi, General Director of Logistics Directorate, Brig. Muhammad Jassim Al Sulaiti, South Security Department Director, Brig. Muhammad Thani Al Mudhahaka, Building Affairs Department Director at Ministry of Interior and Brig. Abdullah Khalifa Al Muftah, Director of Public Relations Department.

Brig. Hisham Ibrahim Al Qusaibi said that the newly opened security and services building is marked as a substantial developmental phase in providing security services with the advantage of the latest technological advancement. He added that the Ministry works on developing many new buildings for different departments like Civil Defense building in Wakra, Security Centres in Messaied, Public Guards building and the new headquarters of the Interior Ministry.
