Profit Group, Taxi Division Expands Fleet with Launch of Airport Taxi Service
Profit Group, Taxi Division, one of Qatar’s leading taxi services, announced the launch of its airport taxi service with an initial fleet of 20 seven-Seater Toyota Innova cars.
The new service was formally launched at a ceremony held at Sharq Village and Spa in Doha, under the patronage of HE Jassim Saif Ahmed Al Sulaiti, Minister of Transport of the State of Qatar and Chairman of Mowasalat. Group Executive Director, Cars Taxi Group, Abdulla Sultan Al Sabbagh, said:
Since launching operations in Qatar in September last year, Profit Group, Taxi Division has established itself as the preferred choice of commuters throughout the country, and today with the launch of our airport taxi service, we take a major step forward in our efforts to expand our network in Qatar. In keeping with its commitment to service quality and driver and passenger safety, Profit Group, Taxi Division has implemented a rigorous driver training program that scrutinizes and assesses drivers from recruitment to arrival in Qatar. Profit Group, Taxi Division’s professional trainers provide intensive training course to drivers for 21 days covering locations, traffic rules and regulations, defensive driving, lane discipline and customer service before certifying the drivers for the road.

Each of Profit Group’s Taxis is equipped with advanced Mobile Data Terminals (MDTs), inclusive of meters, navigation systems, taxi tracking and dispatch systems, as well as a speed monitoring system allowing a maximum speed limit of 100 km per hour within city limits.’
According to Al Sabbagh, Profit Group, Taxi Division’s upcoming initiatives include introduce hybrid taxis in Qatar – bringing to the country an initiative that has already been successfully implemented in the UAE. Plans are also afoot to introduce dedicated taxis for families and women as well as special needs vehicles to cater to people with disabilities. This is part of Profit Group, Taxi Division’s commitment to environmental conservation and sustainable development as well as one of the four pillars of the Qatar National Vision 2030.
