Class of 2019 students from Qatar Academy Sidra (QAS) celebrated the excellent results of their International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP), which was announced worldwide earlier this month.
The results for QAS, part of Qatar Foundation (QF) Pre-University Education, revealed that the average score for their students was 32 points – above the global average – with one student achieving a high of 39 points.
QAS Director Kim Green said they are delighted that their students have successfully undertaken the IB journey.
We congratulate them on their outstanding results. We are proud of their contributions to our school community, and we look forward to closely following their futures.’
The students are now preparing to attend different universities around the world and in Qatar, including QF partner university Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar; University of the Philippines; University of Birmingham in the UK; Maastricht University in The Netherlands; Sabancı University in Turkey; Maryville University in the US; and Saint Mary’s University in Canada.
QAS Class of 2019 officially joined the global community of nearly one million IB-educated men and women in May when they graduated from the two-year programme in an official ceremony held at Multaqa (formerly Education City Student Center).
