Qatar Airways National Day Scarf Design Competition

Qatar Airways is running an innovative and inspiring scarf design competition in celebration of the State of Qatar’s National Day on 18 December with some fabulous prizes for winners.

Contestants are invited to log onto the Qatar Airways website and use simple elements provided in the website to design their own version of the National Day scarf. Entries can be submitted until midnight, Saturday 15 December. The best design with the most number of votes will be selected as the winner. There are no restrictions on voting and entrants are encouraged to reach out to their social networks for support. The grand prize of a pair of return tickets to any of Qatar Airways’ over 120 global destinations will be awarded to the winner. Four runner-ups have a chance to win 50,000 qmiles each from Qatar Airways’ Privilege Club programme for frequent flyers. The winning entries will be announced on 16 January, 2013.

The contest has seen tremendous response so far with nearly 14,000 scarf design submissions having received more than 204,400 votes.

To commemorate Qatar’s National Day, Qatar Airways is also giving away National Day scarves on a first come first serve basis on 17 and 18 December at the airline’s sales offices in Qatar. Qatar Airways is also proud to be a Gold Sponsor of the Qatar National Day events taking place on 18 December.
