Qatar Airways welcomed a glamourous opening day for this year’s edition of the Doha Jewellery and Watches Exhibition (DJWE). Government officials and VIP led the list of special guests on the first day of the exhibition, which include Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, HE Akbar Al Baker.
The exhibition features over 500 international luxury brands showcasing some of the world’s finest gemstones, jewellery collections and watches, along with special edition pieces.
Visitors to DJWE 2019 will have the opportunity to experience the award-winning Business Class seat of Qatar Airways – Qsuite, on display at the show. Qsuite features the industry’s first-ever double bed in Business Class, as well as adjustable panels and movable TV monitors that passengers can adjust to transform their quad into a private suite, enabling colleagues, friends or families travelling together to work, dine and socialise on board the flight.
Al Baker said their participation to DJWE 2019 will provide visitors the opportunity to experience their patented Business Class seat, Qsuite – a product, he said, revolutionised the concept of luxury in the skies, amidst the quality and craftsmanship of some of the world’s finest gemstones and jewellery collections.

As the Official Airline Partner of the DJWE, Qatar Airways is thrilled to have flown internationally-renowned Indian actress and Bollywood superstar Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, to Doha to open this year’s DJWE. The airline has also flown a host of other international celebrities and style influencers to take part in the event, including Chinese jewellery designer Beau Han Xu and fashion designer Grace Chen.
