Qatar Airways celebrated the start of its new direct non-stop service from Hamad International Airport to Mykonos International Airport this week. The newly-launched seasonal service to Greece’s most popular island will operate a four-times-weekly service from Doha.

Mykonos is a world–renowned cosmopolitan island and a paradise in the heart of the Cyclades. The small island is known for its picturesque views and beautiful sandy beaches. Mykonos holidays are often combined with holidays to Santorini and other Cycladic islands.

Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Akbar Al Baker, said that their inaugural flight to popular Mykonos marks the growth and the strengthening bond between Qatar and Greece.

Chief Executive Officer of Fraport Greece Alexander Zinell, said the new route offered by Qatar Airways created links between two beautiful and diverse worlds.

Four weekly seasonal flights to Mykonos International Airport will be operated by an Airbus A320, featuring 12 seats in Business Class and 132 seats in Economy Class. With the launch of Mykonos, Qatar Airways now flies 58 times to Greece.
