The graduate developee programme is aimed at shaping young talents to become future leaders

Qatar Airways welcomed 48 Qatari nationals to its Al Jossor Programme, supporting the wider Qatar Airways Group onboarding programme to enable new employees and developees to navigate their way easily and efficiently through the organisation.

Al Jossor is part of the Al Darb Qatarisation Programme, an initiative that introduces fresh graduates to the world of aviation, enabling them to develop skills to become future leaders of the national carrier. Core modules in the Al Jossor programme include providing information about the aviation industry, understanding key Human Resources policies and exploring Qatar Airways operations via site tours.

At the induction that took place recently at the Oryx Rotana Hotel, graduates were given an introduction to the programme as well as a brief about Qatar Airways and all of its departments and subsidiaries. The graduates met with their coaches and line managers to discuss the Graduate Developee Programme and understand their roles within the programme. Also present were heads of departments who were there to answer any questions from the graduates.

As part of the induction, graduates were driven from Oryx Rotana Hotel to the Hangar and given the opportunity to attend different workshops and meet the airline’s national engineers. They also had the opportunity to look closely at the aircraft and its different components.

Qatar Airways Senior Vice President for Human Resources Nabeela Fakhri, said that the programme highlights the different paths that individuals can pursue at Qatar Airways.

Al Darb is a Qatari word which means ‘The Pathway’. The Al Darb Qatarisation Programme puts graduates through real-life projects to help add to their work experience and position them for a prosperous career with the airline.’

Qatar Airways Senior Vice President for Marketing and Corporate Communications Salam Al Shawa said they are extremely proud of  the Graduate Developee Programme and the talent that it has brought in to the airline.
