Awards recognise achievements of Qatar Airways through LinkedIn Platform

Qatar Airways has recently won awards in two separate categories at the LinkedIn Talent Awards 2018 – Best Employer Brand and Best Recruiter. This is the second consecutive year that Qatar Airways has won awards in both categories.

Senior members of Qatar Airways HR department attended the awards ceremony, which was held at the Marsa Malaz Kempinski Doha. The awards were given to companies based on their utilisation of LinkedIn solutions and activities on the LinkedIn platform.

Stringent criteria was applied by LinkedIn to each category, where only the top performing companies were selected for the awards. Qatar Airways was named ‘Best Employer Brand’ based on its engagement with potential employees and reach in the marketplace, and ‘Top Social Recruiter’ based on its proficiency in the use of LinkedIn Recruiter over the past 12 months.

Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Akbar Al Baker, said they are very proud to have been recognised by the LinkedIn Talent Awards.

Our partnership with LinkedIn is a strategic one, where multiple departments at Qatar Airways are utilising LinkedIn solutions. We are extremely pleased to have won these awards for the second year in a row. These are a testament to the calibre and strength of our employees.’

These awards further build on other recent successes for the airline. In September 2018, Qatar Airways was named ‘Best Middle Eastern/African Airline’ at the Business Traveller Asia Pacific Awards held in Hong Kong. TripAdvisor – a travel and restaurant review website – also recognised Qatar Airways earlier this year as the ‘World’s Best Business Class’, ‘Best Business Class Seat: Middle East’, and ‘World’s Top 10 Airline’. These accolades attest to the airline’s passenger-focused strategy which continues to provide the highest level of satisfaction to customers.

Qatar Airways was also named ‘World’s Best Business Class’ by the 2018 World Airline Awards, managed by international air transport rating organisation Skytrax. It was also named ‘Best Business Class Seat’, ‘Best Airline in the Middle East’, and ‘World’s Best First Class Airline Lounge’.
