Qatar today announced the official working hours for government and private sector during the holy month of Ramadan.
After the Cabinet meeting held today it was announced that the official working hours will be:
- Four hours per day for government sector, 9 am-1 pm
- Six hours a day for private sector, 9 am-3 pm
Pharmacies, restaurants that do delivery services and stores selling foodstuff are excluded from this decision. The Ministry of Trade and Industry, in coordination with the relevant authorities, shall determine the other necessary activities exempted from this decision.
The Cabinet decided the official working hours during Ramadan for the year 1441 AH will be for employees and workers as follows:
A – The government sector is 4 hours, starting from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm.
B – The private sector is 6 hours, starting from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm. #QNA
