The inaugural Mini Basketball Festival organised by the Qatar Basketball Federation (QBF) was held recently at the QBF Hall, participated by over 100 Qatari players from various sports clubs.

QBF Secretary General Saadoun Sabah Al Kuwari, as well as several heads of agencies and officials from the different clubs, attended the festival. Nine clubs, namely Al-Sadd, Al-Rayyan, Al-Arabi, Al-Wakra, Al-Gharafa, Al-Shamal, Al-Khor, Qatar, and Al-Ahly, took part in the festival. The event was held with a significant number of parents and families of players in attendance.

Al Kuwari expressed his delight at the return of the Mini Basketball Festival.

He said that the festival’s primary objective is to expand the Qatari basketball base within sports clubs, which serve as a fundamental and crucial source for Qatari basketball.

Additionally, the festival aims to enhance the fundamental skills of young players, preparing them to become future pillars of Qatari basketball in the years to come.
