Qatar Chamber recently participated in the activities of the digital edition of Hannover Messe 2021, held from 12 to 16 April 2021 under the theme, Industrial Transformation. The event was participated by the largest production companies in the world.

The Chamber participated in the exhibition under the State of Qatar’s pavilion, led and organised by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI) and featured 15 other entities from Qatar.

Under the Chamber’s umbrella, at least ten private companies participated including Doha Cables, Qatar Pharma, Sarplast Qatar, Coastal Steel and Galvanizing WLL, and Qatar Industrial Manufacturing Company, under which comes five other companies.

The Chamber’s initiative was aimed at helping companies exchange experience and learn about the latest innovations in the industrial sector, as well as promote the Qatari industry.

Promoting Qatar

Qatar’s participation in the Hannover International Industrial Fair forms part of the continuous efforts to highlight the investment opportunities available in the industrial sectors, which would contribute to attracting more foreign direct investments (FDI) and strengthening Qatar’s competitive position in the region and beyond.

Qatar’s participation in the fair also comes within the framework of the distinguished relations between Qatar and Germany.

Through a live broadcasting platform, the Chamber expressed thanks and appreciation to MOCI for its efforts in showcasing the industrial investment opportunities and promoting Qatar as a leading hub for investments and businesses.

In a pre-recorded presentation, the Chamber emphasised its interest to support the industrial sector in Qatar and to encourage more businesses to invest. The presentation also highlighted how Qatar has been promoting Qatari products through exhibitions such as Made in Qatar.

Qatar Chamber’s participation in the fair aims to help participants learn more about Qatar’s growing economy and investment climate and opportunities, as well as the investment incentives offered by Qatar to attract foreign investments.

The five-day exhibition provided a unique platform for local participating companies to get acquainted with the latest available technologies and innovations and boost cooperation ties with companies from Germany and from other European countries and beyond.

Hannover International Industrial Fair

This year’s edition of the Hannover International Industrial Fair saw the participation of about 1,800 exhibitors from all over the world.

Over the course of five days, the event featured a number of discussion sessions broadcasted live and participated by over 1,500 speakers. Discussions touch on a wide range of topics such as industrial automation, information technology, industrial supply, production engineering, services, energy, and environmental technology.
