Qatar Chamber (QC) recently signed a purchase agreement with Qatari Diar Real Estate Investment Company (Qatari Diar) for a new headquarter in the Commercial Boulevard in Lusail City. The signing ceremony was attended by HE Minister of Commerce and Industry Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari.
The agreement was signed by QC Chairman HE Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim Al Thani and Qatari Diar CEO Engineer Abdulla bin Hamad Al Attiyah, on the sidelines of Cityscape Qatar opening at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center. A number of QC board members were also present during the signing ceremony.
A new headquarter in the region’s first smart city
HE Sheikh Khalifa expressed his pleasure in signing this agreement, noting that Lusail city is the city of the future and the first smart city in the region, because of its state-of-the-art infrastructure and the investment opportunities it offers to businessmen.
HE Sheikh Khalifa also said that the QC’s purchase of a new headquarter follows the renaissance witnessed by Qatar. He stressed that it will be properly equipped to suit all activities, services and events provided by QC to the private sector.
Qatar Chamber’s current headquarter will be transferred to the new building after it is fully completed. He added that their transfer to the Commercial Boulevard will further enhance the services they offer to members.
The Commercial Boulevard is one of the unique projects in Lusail City because of its diversity – with spacious buildings designed for multi-purpose uses including retail, corporate offices, hotels, residential units, and convention centres.
Commending the ongoing Cityscape Qatar, Sheikh Khalifa said that the event constitutes an important platform for real estate companies to announce their new projects and communicate with potential investors in Qatar and other countries. He also pointed out that the real estate sector in Qatar has managed to overcome the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, which affected the whole world.
Qatari Diar CEO Engineer Abdulla bin Hamad Al Attiyah also expressed his contentment over the contract signing with Qatar Chamber. He said that QC’s shift to Lusail City is in line with their vision to make Lusail the economic capital of the country.

The ten-storey building features a modern design and is located on the main Commercial Boulevard, with a land area of 7,687 sqm and a total rental area of about 17,000 sqm.
The Commercial Boulevard is 1.3-kilometre long and has a group of luxurious multi-use residential units and shops designed following the highest international quality standards. It is set to be a dynamic and diverse commercial and residential destination in Lusail City with a network of advanced transportation systems and underground car parks that can accommodate over 2,000 vehicles.
Developed by Qatari Diar, Lusail City extends across an area of 38 square kilometres and can accommodate approximately 450,000 people.
