Qatar Chamber will launch a series of online training programmes to cover a variety of topics such as qualifying teachers on distance learning, business management and software courses, as well as various specialised courses.

Qatar Chamber General Manager Saleh in Hamad Al Sharqi said that due to the precautionary measures against the spread of COVID-19, the chamber will be holding training courses for individuals and members of the private sector through video conference technology.

He said that the Chamber will continue to offer online programmes even after the coronavirus pandemic, as it has developed an integrated infrastructure for hosting the online programmes.

Qatar Chamber Training Programme

On 8 to 10 June, the Chamber will be holding a free webinar, in cooperation with the Regional Consultancy Network, on ‘Raising Awareness on Social Responsibility’ under the theme ‘Toward Globally Responsible Practices for our National Institutions and Companies’. The session will be held through the Zoom app and includes four training courses.

The first course on 8 June will deal with social responsibility reports for institutions, while the second course on 9 June will discuss the standards of social responsibility (IS26000).

The third course, which will also be held on 9 June, will cover the topic on the UN Global Compact Program on social responsibility; while the fourth course on 10 June will review the social return on investment.

Al Sharqi said the programme comes as part of the Chamber’s strategy to disseminate information on social responsibility among companies as key pillar of the business community.

He affirmed that the Chamber made serious efforts to encourage and support social responsibility initiatives that are positively reflected in the Qatari society.

Qatar Chamber is inviting members and interested individuals to participate in these training courses. The trainings are free of charge and will be led by experts. Participants will receive an electronic attendance certificate from Qatar Chamber upon completion of the four training sessions. Registration is open only for companies, institutions and individuals in Qatar.
