Qatar Minister of State for Energy Affairs, HE Saad Sherida Al Kaabi, recently held talks in Doha with HE Natela Turnava, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of the Republic of Georgia and the official’s accompanying delegation.

Discussions during the meet dealt with cooperation between the two countries in the energy field and the various means to enhance it. They explored the possibility of creating a ‘working group’ at the ministerial level to further facilitate the entry of Qatari businessmen in the Georgian market.

Minister Turnava said that Georgia is interested to attract more investors in the hospitality and tourism sectors. The country has a lot of historical and tourism venues that can make it an important tourism centre. She specifically indicated a project for a huge commercial shopping centre in the heart of the capital is offered for investment by the private sector.
