NeXTfairs Co-Founder and General Manager Rawad Sleem said that DigiCon is an innovative platform that enables participants to meet and discuss themes of common interests.
It provides the latest virtual communication technologies with interactive windows that mimic the face-to-face traditional exhibitions with customised features like exchanging agreements between participating companies, having private meetings and live broadcasts, creating user-friendly clients’ lists, in addition to easy access to digital content from anywhere.

Stepping up for the food and beverage industry
The Qatar Food Safety Conference 2021 will bring together over 20 experts in the food safety sector around the world to discuss the latest trends, developments and best practices in the industry. More than 500 participants and key players in the food industry will discuss over 30 topics related to food safety policies and regulations.
Sleem highlighted that Qatar HR Conference 2021, which was organised by NeXTfairs via DigiCon platform earlier, had achieved great success. The conference shed light on the mechanisms of qualifying and developing the national labour force, which is in line with Qatar National Vision 2030, aimed at enhancing qualification and training programmes and providing incentives for Qataris to occupy senior technical and administrative professions in business, health and education sectors. This is in addition to providing high-quality training opportunities for all citizens, each according to their ambitions and capabilities, and increasing employment opportunities for Qatari women and supporting them professionally.
The current global pandemic has changed the world, but we have stood up to the challenge and it did not stop us from continuing the business and leading the recovery of the industry. The success of our first virtual conference (Qatar HR Conference) is proof that the business events industry is heading towards the virtual world in light of the Corona(virus) pandemic, depending on electronic platforms and modern technological developments, which enhances business continuity and stimulates the growth of economic sectors.
The food and beverage industry has faced one of the biggest challenges during COVID-19. Sleem said they want to be the instrument to inspire the industry to step up and ensure that the food safety industry is getting all the necessary support – initiating connection and collaboration.
According to the latest available data from Qatar Development Bank, Qatar’s F&B sector currently have 2,950 operational outlets, with estimated cumulative revenue of over QAR6.99 billion. Total revenues generated by the sector is expected to grow to about QAR14.2 billion by 2026.
