The Qatar Football Association (QFA) announced the postponement of the final match of the 49th edition of the Amir Cup, scheduled for Friday, 14 May, at Jassim bin Hamad Stadium.

The new date for the final match will be announced later after full coordination with all relevant authorities and with the Ministry of Public Health, according to QFA.

The decision to postpone the game came after the announcement of the gradual lifting of restrictions this week. The new health protocols, regarding local and international sporting events, will allow public attendance up to a certain percentage of the stadium capacity, on condition that fans are fully vaccinated.
