Qatar Foundation (QF) recently welcomed a press delegation from France and Belgium at its headquarters in Education City.
The group was welcomed by the Executive Director of QF’s CEO Office Omran Hamad Al-Kuwari; Hamad Bin Khalifa University President Dr Ahmad M Hasnah; QF Pre-University Education President Buthaina Ali Al Nuaimi; and QF General CounselMichael Mitchell.
The delegation was given a comprehensive presentation highlighting QF’s different academic institutes, science and research centres, and community development initiatives. It showed how QF, over the last 22 years, has worked to support Qatar on its journey to becoming a diversified and sustainable economy; not only investing in the country’s future but also in the region and on an international level. The visitors heard how this goal had been achieved through Education City – a pioneering model that is constantly evolving in an-ever changing landscape.
Dr Hasnah said they believe in a diversified approach to education.
The education and research offerings provided by HBKU and QF’s partner universities in Education City will continue to evolve with our students who come from Qatar, the region, and the world.’
Following the presentation and a short Q&A session, the visitors were taken to the open-air viewing platform on the eighth floor of QF headquarters, where they were shown the education and research buildings of Education City, and where they discussed the future plans of Qatar Foundation.
