Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA) and Qatar Airways are preparing to host the fourth edition of the Qatar International Food Festival (QIFF) at the Museum of Islamic Art (MIA) Park from 28 – 31 March 2013.
Over four days of family fun and entertainment with gastronomic alfresco eating, drinking and cooking, QIFF will tempt visitors’ taste buds with samples of delicious five star cuisine from around the world. Internationally renowned chefs will join many of Doha’s finest hotels and restaurants to celebrate fine dining with the freshest ingredients and latest food trends, as well as healthy eating options in Qatar’s capital city.
This year, QIFF is cooking a feast for the senses up high and at sea, namely the breathtaking dining experience, ‘Dinner in the Sky’ operated by W Hotel and Residences Doha, staged 40 metres in the air. Dining at sea in gentle drifting BBQ Donut crafts from The Diplomatic Club, Doha will also offer that special wow factor with flaming barbecue menus.
QIFF is also introducing Qatar Airways’ Cooking Theatre where award-winning celebrity TV chefs, Ramzi Choueiri, from Lebanon, and Vineet Bhatia, from India, will be joined by Grand Hyatt Doha’s Chef David Okuda demonstrating a few of their signature dishes. German Junior Master Cher, Valentin Krapf, will also be on hand to show youngsters how to cook up a menu of healthy snacks and meals.
This year’s festival is on track to deliver a brand new mouth-watering event to set taste buds tingling in Doha’s waterfront MIA Park.

This year, QIFF will carry two main themes; healthy food and a healthy lifestyle, as well as focusing on the Qatari UK Year of Culture by highlighting traditional dishes from both the UK and Qatar.
Fifty of Doha’s top restaurants will be there to celebrate fine dining with the freshest ingredients, demonstrating the latest food trends and tastes and showcasing their exclusive dishes. QTA Awards will be given for the Best Stall, the Best Meal and the Best Food at the event.
Entry to the event is free. Vouchers for food and drink at the festival will be sold on site at the event.
