Qatar has streamlined its process for expatriates seeking to work as drivers by linking the eye test service provided at Qatar Visa Centers (QVC) abroad with the General Directorate of Traffic’s licensing system.

This integration means that expatriates no longer need to undergo another eye test upon their arrival in the country.

This move aims to simplify procedures and reduce redundancy in the licensing process, ensuring efficiency and convenience for expatriate drivers.

Qatar Visa Center (QVC) services encompass a range of essential processes including facial image capture, iris scan, finger roll, thumbprints, palm scan, medical check-ups (including X-ray, blood tests, eye tests, vaccinations), and doctor consultations.

QVC facilitates the completion of crucial visa requirements for work visa applicants in their home countries, ensuring biometric and medical services meet international standards. Currently, QVC operates 14 centres across six countries worldwide: India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Nepal, and the Philippines.
