Qatar Minister of State for Energy Affairs, HE Saad Sherida Al Kaabi, held separate talks with Indian officials and with Sri Lankan Prime Minister HE Mahinda Rajapaksa, when he visited India and Sri Lanka recently. 

Al Kaabi met with HE Dharmendra Pradhan, India’s Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas and Minister of Steel in New Delhi, where they discussed cooperation in the energy field and on further enhancing relations between Qatar and India.

Al Kaabi concluded his one-day visit to New Delhi with a number of meetings with senior executives of major Indian energy companies, focused on enhancing relations and cooperation in the LNG industry. The minister had separate meetings with Sanjiv Singh, chairman of Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), and Dr Ashutosh Karnatak, Chairman of the Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL).

Meeting with Sri Lankan Prime Minister

HE Saad Sherida Al Kaabi, the Minister of State for Energy Affairs, met in Colombo with the Prime Minister of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, HE Mahinda Rajapaksa. They also discussed various aspects of cooperation in the energy field between the two countries.
