This Saturday the 25th February is the Qatar National Baja.
On 25th February 2012, QatarMotor and Motorcycle Federation will host the Qatar National Baja at Sealine. There are three different categories: 4×4, motorcycles and quads. Scrutineering and Administration was on Thursday and on Friday there will be briefings at the QMMF offices. The official start will be on Saturday at QMMF headquarters in Doha and the finish and podium ceremony will be at Sealine.
The first motorcycle will start at 08.00 and is expected to reach Sealine around 11:30. The first 4×4 driver will leave at 9:30 and is expected to arrive approximately around 13:00.
Some of the participants took part in the Qatar International Baja last year, like the Qatari driver Khalid al Falasi and the drivers Ibrahim al Muhanna from KSA and Ali Hassan Obaid from UAE.
Apart from the Qatar National Baja, Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation will also host the Sealine Cross Country Rally. This Cross country rally will be under FIA and FIM rules and it will be the third round of FIA World Cup for Cross Country Rallies and round two of the FIM Cross Country Rallies World Championship.
Mr Nasser Khalifa Al Attiya, QMMF President, and all the officials are under the preparations of the Sealine Cross Country Rally. For the Qatar National Baja and for the Sealine Cross Country Rally, QMMF is counting on the experience of Mr Pedro Almeida and Mr Jaime Santos to keep the race safe.
According to the provisional entry list, a total of 7 cars , 4 bikes and 4 quads will be at the start tomorrow at QMMF – headquarters for the Qatar National Baja 2012.
