Qatar Now Allows Private Health Care Facilities to Operate on 50% Capacity
The Cabinet has decided to allow private health care facilities to provide medical services to the public but that their operation will not exceed 50% of their capacity.
The decision was made during the Cabinet’s regular meeting this Wednesday, 28 April, held via a video conference and chaired by the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior HE Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani.
This latest decision amended the previous decision which suspended medical services in private health care facilities, except in emergency cases. The decision is to go into effect today, 29 April. Previous precautionary measures taken in order to combat this pandemic shall be continued.
A number of private health care facilities currently accommodate swab tests for travel purposes only. For more COVID-19 updates visit moph.gov.qa.
