Hukoomi – Qatar e-Government

Hukoomi is the Qatar Government Portal, the official gateway to all the information and services you need to live, work or stay in Qatar. Through cooperation with government agencies and public service providers, a new Hukoomi has emerged to make online information more readily available at your finger tips. The portal hosts a number of important e-services, as well as government documents, service application forms and general information.

Planning and Statistics Authority (PSA)

In June 2007, the Planning and Statistics Authority (PSA) was created as a new independent agency, replacing the Planning Councils Statistics Department. While the Home Planning and Statistics Authority is the official national statistical agency, other government agencies also produce official statistics (Qatar Central Bank, Ministry of Finance, Interior, and others). Whether you’re looking for statistics on the number of car accidents, births and deaths, marriages and divorces, etc., the PSA website is your go-to site. You can take a full look at Qatar’s social and economic structure. You can even request for data if you can’t find it on the website.

Qatar National Tourism Council (QNTC)

Whether you’re new to Qatar or old, there’s always something to do but you just need to look harder. Qatar Tourism Authority’s (QTA) website gives you a wide variety of entertainment to choose from. You can play world-class golf, cycle along hundreds of miles of desert off-road, take road-trips to beaches, hunt for fossils or get lost in the moment of a brilliantly crafted scene of desert dunes at the inland Sea. QTA’s website can even help you plan a visit around Qatar, in and outside Doha. You may also check out the calender to find out what events are taking place across Qatar including exhibitions, conferences and festivals. In addition, the website portrays some of the most beautiful photographs of Qatar.

Qatar Museums (QM)

Established in 2005 by The Father Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Qatar Museums Authority (QMA) is the peak body of museums in Qatar. Chaired by Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, QMA aims to combine the resources of all museums in Qatar by establishing an effective system for collecting, protecting, preserving and interpreting historic sites, monuments,and artifacts.Available in both English and Arabic, QMA’s website is your go-to site to know about current and upcoming exhibitions and collections at museums in Qatar. The website is also a great source of information for those interested in learning about Qatar’s culture and heritage. In the website’s ‘opportunity’ tab, besides apply for a job, you may donate or sell an object to contribute to their collections or exhibitions.

Qatar National Library (QNL)

The Qatar National Library (QNL) is currently planning services for our opening in 2015 in a library building designed by renowned architect Rem Koolhaas, with 1.2 million books, 500,000 ebooks, periodicals and newspapers, and special collections. For now, the QNL website provides you free access to online resources – Qatar Foundation and national resources – through barcode / PIN access for researchers, faculty, staff, students from Qatar Foundation and its associated entities including Education City and Research Institutes. In addition, the website offers plenty of resources and suggested reading for download, access to QNL’s collections and you can also apply for a tour through QNL’s recently launched Heritage Collection.
