Qatar Petroleum (QP) held the first of three annual Continuous Service Awards recently, to recognise the dedication and long service of its employees. A total of 107 employees who achieved career milestones of 30, 35 and 40 years of service with QP were given recognition.

Saad Sherida Al-Kaabi, President and CEO of Qatar Petroleum, congratulated the honoured employees for their long and distinguished service.

I have no doubt that Qatar Petroleum is home to some of the best professional talent in the region’s oil and gas industry. I only have to look at what has been achieved in the past few years to see the true value of our people and their capabilities.

I also have no doubt that with your continuous support and dedication, we will build greater milestones on the road to making Qatar Petroleum one of the best national oil companies in the world – if not THE best.’

Al-Kaabi highlighted some of the major landmarks defining the transformation of Qatar Petroleum into one of the best national oil companies in the world. He emphasised the importance of the recently launched corporate strategy and values and said that the company will continue to count on capabilities, talents and experience of its staff to help build a stronger corporate culture, and to help embrace the highest standards in every aspect of the business.

The Continuous Service Awards ceremony was attended by QP executive vice presidents, corporate managers and other senior officials. The awardees reflected QP’s diverse workforce, and came from QP’s various directorates and corporate departments in its major areas of operations in Doha – Dukhan Concession Area, Mesaieed Industrial City, Ras Laffan Industrial City, Halul Island and offshore production stations.

Al-Kaabi personally congratulated each of the honoured employees as he presented them with a Certificate of Appreciation and a gift, as a token of gratitude for their exemplary loyalty and dedicated service.

Two more Continuous Service Awards ceremonies will be held in the coming days to give recognition to other QP staff who have completed service milestones of 10, 15, 20 and 25 years. The annual event is organised by the QP Public Relations and Communications Department in partnership with its Human Capital Directorate and other departments.
