Following the conclusion of FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, the Civil Aviation Authority has announced the reinstatement of all airport procedures and visa-on-arrival policies.

In a circular dated 22 December 2022, CAA announced that following the cancellation of Hayya Card entries, nationalities of 42 countries listed below can now obtain free visa on arrival for a period of 90 days which cannot be extended, and under the following conditions:

1. Valid passport for at least six months.
2. Confirmed return ticket.
3. Confirmed hotel reservation in one of the country’s hotels during the visit period.

Nationalities of 40 countries listed below can obtain free visa or arrival for a period of 30 days, which can be extended for a similar period, and under the following conditions:

1. Valid passport for at least six months.
2. Confirmed return ticket.
3. Confirmed hotel reservation in one of the country’s hotels during the visit period.

Nationalities of six (6) countries listed below can obtain a joint tourist visa on arrival for a fee of QAR100 for a period of 30 days, which can be extended for a similar period, and under the following conditions:

1. Valid passport for at least six months.
2. Confirmed return ticket.
3. Confirmed hotel reservation in one of the country’s hotels during the visit period.

Pakistani, Indian and Thai nationality can obtain a free visa on arrival for a maximum stay of 30 days or according to hotel reservation and under the following conditions:

1. Valid passport for at least six months.
2. Confirmed return ticket.
3. Confirmed hotel reservation through Discover Qatar website only. Hotel reservations from other websites are not accepted.

Ukrainian nationals can obtain a free i s on arrival for a maximum stay of 90 days or according to the hotel reservation and under the following conditions:

1. Valid passport for at least six months.
2. Confirmed return ticket.
3. Confirmed hotel reservation through Discover Qatar website only. Hotel reservations from other websites are not accepted.

Iranian nationals can obtain tourist visa on arrival or business visa for a fee with a maximum stay of 30 days or according to hotel reservation and under the following conditions:

1. Valid passport for at least six months.
2. Confirmed return ticket.
3. Confirmed hotel reservation through Discover Qatar website only. Hotel reservations from other websites are not accepted
4. The visa is granted for the specified period according to the Minister’s Decision No. (19) of 2007, which is:

a) An entry tourist visa on arrival for a period of one (1) month (not extendable) for a fee of QAR100.
b ) Entry visa on arrival for businessmen for a period of one (1) month and a maximum of three (3) months for a fee of QAR200 per month (a businessmen visa is granted if there is an invitation letter from a Qatari establishment).

Belarussian nationals can obtain tourist visa on arrival or business visa for a fee with a maximum stay of 30 days and under the following conditions.

1. Valid passport for at least six months.
2. The possession of the entry visa holder a cash amount equivalent to USD1,000 or a valid credit card.
3. Confirmed return ticket.
4. Confirmed hotel reservation in one of the country’s hotels during the visit period.
5. The visa is granted for the specified period according to the Minister’s Decision No. (19) of 2007, which is:

a. An entry tourist visa on arrival for a period of one (1) month (not extendable) for a fee of QAR100.
b) Entry visa on arrival (for businessmen) for a period of one (1) month and a maximum of three (3) months for a fee of QAR200 per month.

Aside from these, entry for nationals of countries that have bilateral agreements with the State of Qatar is also resumed, as well as the entry of transit passengers with an instant visa for a period of 96 hours.

Entry for tour travellers is also resumed. Gulf Cooperation Council countries residents and those accompanying citizens of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries can still enter Qatar according to the previous circular.
