The Ministry of Energy and Industry will organize the 6th Asian Ministerial Energy Roundtable(AMER6) in coordination with the International Energy Forum (IEF) on 9 November 2015. 

Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, HE Sheikh Abdulla Bin Nasser Al-Thani, is scheduled to open the Roundtable, in the presence of a large number of energy ministers from Asia as well as many international energy organizations.

HE Dr Mohammad Bin Saleh Al-Sada, the Minister of Energy and Industry and Chairman of AMER6 said that the 6th round of this biannual meeting will be held at a very critical time, in view of the recent developments in the energy industry. He added that AMER6 is particularly significant since Asia is home to the world’s largest oil and gas reserves and most of the world’s energy consumers. Dr. Al-Sada also announced that invitations had been sent to 30 ministers from Asian countries that are members of the International Energy Forum.

Sheikh Mishal Bin Jabor Al-Thani, Chairman of the AMER6 Organizing Committee said that the Ministry of Energy and Industry had made all necessary arrangements to ensure the success of the prestigious event. He added that most of the ministers invited had already confirmed their attendance, as well as senior officials from international organizations, such as OPEC, IEF, OAPEC, GECF, OFID and IEA.
