Qatar Tourism Announces Exciting New Details to its ‘Feel Winter in Qatar’ Campaign
Qatar Tourism announces new details to its ‘Feel Winter in Qatar’ campaign – an exciting and continuous season of family-friendly events, concerts and exhibitions taking place throughout the country.
The suite of new activations, which have been jointly organised by Qatar Tourism and Qatar Airways, will fall under one of the campaign’s hero events, Shop Qatar and Qatar Live. The biggest-ever prize in Shop Qatar history, performances by the region’s biggest artists under Qatar Live, and the return of a world-class performance, all feature in the latest announcement.
According to Sheikha Hessa Al-Thani, Head of Marketing and Planning at Qatar Tourism, they are delighted to unveil details for Shop Qatar and Qatar Live.
With events taking place across the country, in diverse settings and scenes, we look forward to seeing families enjoying the latest activations and we welcome visitors from around the region to experience Qatar’s dynamic calendar of events this season.
Qatar’s biggest shopping festival, Shop Qatar, makes its return this month. Ten of the country’s most popular shopping malls, including City Center Doha, Doha Festival City, Place Vendôme and Lagoona Mall, will be participating in this month-long celebration of Qatar’s retail and leisure industry.
There will be exciting events throughout the month:
- Sephora will host Sephora Saturdays with masterclasses at Place Vendôme open to all and Sephora Ladies Night on Wednesdays, which will see private masterclasses, complete with luscious giveaways.
- Men need not feel excluded and can look forward to a Men’s Only event on Saturday, 4 March.
- Another highly anticipated event is the grand fashion show that will be taking place at Harvey Nichols in Doha Festival City, on 14 March featuring the best of local designers.
Spectacular roaming performances will also be on offer for shoppers, which will rotate between participating malls during the month-long shopping festival. Acts range from dazzling winter circus and heliosphere aerial performances to a captivating trip to the enchanted fairy forest for the little ones.
Shoppers can also participate in a range of competitions and promotions, such as the Shop and Sweep event at Virgin Megastore branches across the country. For every QAR200 spent, shoppers are eligible to enter a draw for mega prizes worth over QAR2 million! This year’s grand prize – the biggest in Shop Qatar’s long-running history – is the chance to win a brand-new studio apartment at The Pearl Qatar.
Also part of Shop Qatar is the Paw Patrol Festival taking place at Place Vendôme from 2 to 18 March. This fully immersive festival will combine all the best that the globally loved Paw Patrol franchise has to offer, including live performances, meet-and-greets with the show’s popular characters and much more.
Following recent successes, renowned artists and exciting performances are all set to perform under this year’s Qatar Live
- One of the Arab world’s most popular acts, Syrian superstar Assala Nasri will perform for crowds at Al Shaqab this 2 March.
- Kuwaiti national treasure Nawal Al Kuwaitia will perform a medley of her hits live at Al Shaqab on 3 March
In addition to the schedule of performances and as part of the Qatar Live programme, the world-renowned Circus 1903 will make a triumphant debut in Doha from 10 to 18 March. Assembled by the same award-winning team behind the stage production of War Horse, this unique celebration of the golden age of the circus will be available for local audiences at the Abdul Aziz Nasser Theatre. Local crowds will get the chance to see astoundingly life-like puppet elephants brought to life in the ring.
