Qatar Tourism recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Qatar Railways Company (Qatar Rail) to further their Service Excellence programme.

The MOU will provide for the training of Qatar Rail’s customer service staff. They will be trained following the highest standards for customer service and providing for onsite placement and dissemination of tourism-related information.

Qatar Tourism Chairman and Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive HE Akbar Al Baker stated that they are pleased to partner with Qatar Rail as they further their promise to promote Service Excellence across consumer touchpoints in Qatar.

As we prepare to welcome the world to Qatar, Service Excellence places the consumer at the heart of our offerings, working closely with partners such as Qatar Rail to provide seamless experiences while showcasing Qatar’s award-winning hospitality.

Qatar Rail Managing Director and CEO, HE Dr Abdulla Abdulaziz Al Subaie, said that Doha Metro plays an important role in supporting the country’s tourism sector by providing a network that connects different tourist destinations in Qatar.

We are pleased to sign this MOU which covers various aspects of collaboration, as we are keen to further enrich the tourist experience in Qatar. This collaboration will equip our frontline staff with the required knowledge and training to act as ambassadors to promote destinations on (the) Doha Metro network.

He added that they look forward to working closely with Qatar Tourism, which he said will undoubtedly contribute to advancing the State of Qatar as a tourist destination and support hosting international events such as the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™.

Qatar Tourism works with stakeholders across the public and private sectors, and its Service Excellence programme aims to elevate customer-facing experiences by providing training and certifications for frontline staff, improving performance and enabling Qatar to offer best-in-class service across every customer touchpoint.
