Qetaifan Projects this week announced the launching of the waterside retail, café and restaurant units along the canal at Qetaifan Island North.
The waterside Retail and Festival Plaza are operated by Rixos Hotels, along with the Beach club, hotel and Meryal waterpark. The retail services on the island include canal-side cafes and a range of restaurants that offer quick service to exotic fine dining. The retail and festival plaza area include 92 units, with a 6,500-capacity and which include the Meryal waterpark area.
Waterside Retail and Festival Plaza
The waterside retail, café and restaurant units are in three adjacent locations, around the world class waterpark Meryal, five-star luxury hotel run by Rixos Hotels, and at the entertainment and Souq area. With a total area of 12,300 square metres on the banks of the canal, in addition to 1,400 square metres of parking spaces.
According to Qetaifan Projects Managing Director HE Sheikh Nasser bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, the retail and festival plaza units are important to because it serves as an attraction spot, and the attraction increases depending on the region and the facilities surrounding it.
The retail plaza and festival plaza units are located in the heart of the island and are, among other assets, considered as the main engine of the surrounding facilities.
The most prominent attractions in the area include the Meryal waterpark, the beach club and hotel, in addition to the facilities that the retail and festival plaza units are providing on the canal-side, and the various entertainment events that will contribute effectively to the revitalisation of tourism.
Qetaifan Projects Chief Operating Officer Hesham Sharaf added that the retail units are part of the Qetaifan Island North real estate development plan, which in turn will also enrich the business assets at Lusail City.
Rixos Retail Director Adrian Camps said they are very proud to announce the release of the restaurant, café and retail units.
