Qatar Leadership Academy (QLA), a member of Qatar Foundation (QF), is relocating to the new Ministry of Defence (MoD) complex at Miqdam Camp for the 2018 – 2019 academic year.
QLA, which is under the QF Pre-University Education (PUE), strives to create and nurture the leaders of tomorrow by promoting excellence in academics, leadership, and athletics. The relocation of the school reaffirms the strength and depth of the partnership between QF and MoD, and the importance of the links between the two parties, which aim to exchange practical expertise that provide students with the knowledge and leadership skills to support the national priorities of Qatar.
QF-PUE President Buthaina Ali Al Nuaimi said that the history of QF’s relationship with MoD goes back to 2005 during the launch of QLA.
We are certain that this move forms a new phase in providing students with an environment that strengthens important values in the fields of academics and leadership, helps spread a culture of taking responsibility and facing challenges, and strengthen the spirit of national identity.’
She said that they strive to meet the individual need of each learner across their diverse community by providing personalised education opportunities. Through the formation of the specialised military environment under the guidance of expert educators, she said they aim to provide students with knowledge, confidence, skills, experience, and practical expertise to excel.
The collaboration will see QLA, alongside the MoD, offer students and teachers a more enhanced learning environment, complete with modern, state-of-the-art facilities. The new premises will also provide a more spacious venue that can accommodate a bigger student population.
