On Wednesday 13 March 2013, Qatar Petroleum (QP) donated four ambulances to four charity organisations in Qatar, which are Qatar Charity, Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS), Sheikh Thani bin Abdullah Al Thani’s Foundation for Humanitarian Services (RAF), and Sheikh Eid bin Mohammed Charity Association.

The support given by QP to these organisations is under the directives of HE Dr Mohammed bin Saleh Al Sada, Minister of Energy and Industry and Chairman and Managing Director of QP, and in line with the corporation’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.

The donations were made at a formal ‘handover’ ceremony in Dukhan. The attendees included Abulrahman Abdulla Al Obaidly, Acting Manager of Public Relations and Communications, Khalid Yousuf Al Sahlawi, Manager of Integrated Facilities, Abdulla Ghaith Al Kuwari, Manager of Field Support (Dukhan Fields), Abdulla Al Dosari, Manager of the In-Kind Donation Department of the Qatar Charity, Dr Hasan Dallol, Coordinator of Public Health of the QRCS, Ayedh Al Qahtani, General Manager of RAF, Haitham Hassan, Resources Development Officer of the Sheikh Eid bin Mohammed Charity Association and other senior officials and staff.

This recent donation is the second time in the past four months that QP has turned over ambulances to local charity organisations for medical and humanitarian activities. In addition, before this donation, Qatar Charity, QRCS, RAF and Sheikh Eid bin Mohammed Charity Association had already received donations of one ambulance each in December 2012.
