Qatar Petroleum President and CEO Saad Sherida Al Kaabi began a short working visit to Japan, and held talks with senior executives of major Japanese companies on enhancing relations and cooperation in the energy field.

The two days of talks focus on a number of issues related to developing bilateral relations and cooperation with various Japanese customers and partner companies, particularly in the LNG trade, including high-level discussions with senior officials of a number of Japanese energy, power generation, and shipping corporations, as well as financial institutions.
Al Kaabi also hosted the annual Qatargas reception in honour of Japanese partners and customers where he highlighted Qatar’s commitment to Japanese partners, and the assurance for a reliable and safe supply of their energy needs, particularly LNG. He expressed hope for more future cooperation and fruitful partnerships.

Al Kaabi was accompanied by a delegation of senior Qatar Petroleum and Qatargas officials.
