As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) will continue to work with the ‘Ooredoo Ride of Champions’ and grow the QSE Corporate Challenge, to promote healthy living within the business community.
The Ooredoo Ride of Champions is the biggest mass-participated cycling event in Qatar and the pinnacle of the community events organised by Qatar Cyclists, as it offers rides that suit all ages and experience levels, with ability-friendly categories added this year.
2000 participants are expected to take part in the event which will be hosted by Qatar Foundation on 13 March.
The QSE Corporate Challenge Health Champion Award will be presented to the company who encourages the most members of its staff and their families to participate in the event at any distance.
The QSE Corporate Challenge Speed Champions Award, meanwhile, will be presented to the company with the fastest adult team. The results will be calculated by determining the QSE listed company with the fastest average speed for four fastest riders over any of the races – open road distances (48 km), medium (78 km) and long events (137.5 km).
Prizes for the QSE Corporate Challenge will be awarded a week after the event at their respective offices, with a trophy for the company to keep at their offices and a recognition for the year in the QSE offices and on the trading floor.
New individual awards for 2020 include the QSE CEO Challenge, a new challenge to encourage leaders of private sector companies and organisations to participate and lead from the front. The prize will go to the fastest CEO by average speed (overall in road events). To include yourself in the CEO challenge, tick the CEO box when entering the corporate challenge or if already registered, email [email protected].
Fastest Corporate Rider (at each distance) is also a new challenge to recognise the fastest corporate challenge rider as an individual over each of the three road ride distances. The prize will be awarded to the fastest QSE Challenge participants by time (by distance).
Participants eligible to join the QSE Corporate Challenge will need to register to take part in the Ooredoo Ride of Champions via this link, and If they are already registered but haven’t listed their company, they will be able to inform the organisers at registration or can also do so before the event by sending an email to [email protected].
