From 7th – 11th March, Qatar Tourism Authority showcases Qatar’s growing importance as a destination at Europe’s biggest travel show, International Tourism Bourse (ITB) Berlin. Qatar led a delegation of officials and representatives from 25 of Qatar’s top hotels and tourism operators.

Held in Berlin, ITB is a five-day event, which presents a diverse range of destinations, products and services from 4,000 suppliers to over 160 different countries.

Abdulla Malalla Al-Bader, Director of Tourism at QTA said that Qatar has developed into an internationally recognised destination in a small period of time.

Ahmed al Nuaimi, QTA Chairman, was awarded ‘International Achiever of the Year’ by Pacific Area International Travel Writer’s Association (PATWA). He said ‘Qatar has become one of the emerging destinations in world travel and tourism thanks to the growth of Qatar Airways, as well as our strategy to highlight the range of activities on offer in Qatar.’ He pointed out that Qatar has everything a high-end traveller needs, 5 star hotels and cultural hotspots like Katara, Valley of Cultures and The Pearl-Qatar.
