According to Radisson Blu Hotel, Doha General Manager Gordon MacKenzie, their continued endeavour to ensure the safety and security of guests, employees and owner assets remains a top priority at all times.

While achieving the Safehotel Certification is certainly a win, we at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Doha believe that our commitment to safety and security is an ongoing effort and that the certification is a culmination of the team’s dedication and focus towards creating an environment that is not only safe and secure but one that is equipped to handle unforeseen circumstances.

Led by a team of experts in their field, the audit process requires months of study and coordination to ensure the property maintains and keeps up with the ever-evolving audit points and new parameters introduced each year.

Committed and dedicated teams

A committed in-house security team led by Security Manager Omer Abdelrahman also ensures the physical security of the perimeter and surroundings, while also continuously patrolling and monitoring the internal environment.

Supporting the core team is Training Manager Deepti Mahajan who ensures that the teams remain up to date on processes and protocol. Hygiene and HACCAP Manager Basil Kinney, meanwhile, makes certain that food handling processes remain up-to-date and safe at all times.

While our state-of-the-art infrastructure and building features ensure we maintain a well prepared and safe environment for all, it is this passion for excellence ingrained in our core ethos that enables us to strive for the very best at all times, says Vaishali Jena, Executive Assistant Manager at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Doha, who has for the past three years facilitated the audit process and internal coordination.
