Regency Art together with Wyndham Grand Regency Doha and under the patronage of Sheikh Faisal bin Qassem Al Thani, today announced the launch of ‘Al Asmakh International Sculpture Symposium 2014’, set to run from 14 to 26 December 2014 at Al Asmakh Farmhouse in Um Salal Ali.
Vice President of Regency Group Holding, Hassan Ibrahim Hassan Al Asmakh, said:
I wish this event all the success, and I hope for it to be one of the historical and cultural pillars of this programme in the near future because it offers both talented artists and professionals as well as it entrench the status of Qatar on the map of art.’
This week-long cultural event will bring together 12 local and international artists from a diverse range of countries who will express their creativity by capturing the beauty of Qatar through visual arts. The artists in attendance will participate in activities including a series of lectures and museum visits.
At the end of the workshop, all artworks will be exhibited at a cocktail reception held in Wyndham Grand Regency Doha’s lobby on 24 December 2014 from 5:30 pm until 7:30 pm.
