Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar joins as brand ambassador for the road safety campaign launched by Aster DM Healthcare, along with Qatar National Traffic Safety Committee, General Directorate of Traffic and Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Interior.

This Campaign, running from 27 January to 12 February, aims to educate and create awareness on importance of road safety measures and garner support across all audiences – kids, college students, working professionals, general public in Qatar with the theme #iPledge.

As part of the campaign, Aster and Ministry of Interior will be organising activities including poster making competitions, awareness desks at malls and other public areas, road safety pledges, branded vehicles to create public awareness and distribution of campaign flyers (in Arabic, English, Malayalam, Hindi, Urdu, Nepalese and Sinhalese and Tamil).

The winners of the poster competition from Junior (4th – 7th) grades will get gifts worth QAR1,000, QAR 750 and QAR500, while the senior group (8th -12th grades) will get gifts worth QAR1,500 QAR1,000 and QAR500. In addition to this, appreciation certificates will be given for each participating school, the respective competition coordinator, and special awards to schools with maximum numbers of nominations by the judges.

Winners of manual and digital poster competition for general public get prizes worth QAR1,500, QAR1,000 and QAR 500. All participants will be given a certificate for participation and Aster gift card for free health checkup.

Winners of ‘Spot a taxi’ with #IPledge branding Facebook competition will be given health check-up package vouchers.

All winners get copies of Sachin’s autobiography, appreciation certificates and medals.
