Sasol announced the renewal of its membership to the Abdullah Bin Hamad Al Attiyah International Foundation for Energy and Sustainable Development, part of their efforts to support sustainable development, and to further strengthen their relations and long-standing partnership with the foundation as they both look towards a sustainable future.

The Foundation’s relationship with Sasol helps greater understanding of energy sustainability and energy markets. The Al Attiyah Foundation is the leading independent energy and sustainable development think-thank in Qatar and has become highly respected by energy leaders within and outside Qatar.

Dr Ibrahim Ibrahim, Vice Chairman of Al Attiyah Foundation, said they look forward to a continued partnership with Sasol as they endeavour to provide knowledge and insights into the global energy and sustainable development issues, for the benefit of members and society.

Sasol Executive Vice President Maurice Radebe said that Sasol is proud to carry on and contribute to the development of society and the world energy sector.

We thank Al Attiyah Foundation and look forward to further cooperation in the future.’

As an international integrated chemicals and energy company, and a partner of Qatar Petroleum in the ORYX GTL Venture, Sasol turns special attention to the energy and sustainable development sector in Qatar and the world.

Sasol has also worked with Al Attiyah Foundation to offer oil and gas companies in Qatar training workshops on accessibility awareness and accessibility auditing through the use of the auditing smartphone application launched by its initiative, Accessible Qatar. The training helps participants understand international accessibility standards, key accessibility factors that should be addressed when carrying out an accessibility audit, potential challenges that physically-challenged individuals might face and the technical aspects of the audit.
