The British Paraorchestra would be sharing the stage with Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra, for their first performance outside of continental Europe at the Katara Opera House on Friday 4 April 2014 at 7:30 pm.

Supported by Grand Hyatt Doha Hotel, QMDI and the British Embassy of Doha, the British Paraorchestra concert in Qatar, dubbed ‘Souls in Harmony’, is presented by Sasol, the global integrated energy and chemical company and held under the patronage of Muneera bint Nasser Al Misnad, Chairperson of the board, Qatar Foundation for Social Work. The concert is held as a part of Sasol’s signature CSR initiative ‘Definitely Able’ campaigns.

The Paraorchestra shot to international fame after performing with Coldplay at the closing ceremony of the 2012 London Paralympics. It was also the 2013 winner of a Big Society Award, an award which recognizes outstanding people and organisations whose work improves lives and communities, handed out by the Prime Minister of the UK.

Since its inception in 2012, Sasol’s ‘Definitely Able’ initiative has been raising awareness, promoting public engagement and social acceptance of people with special needs.
