Qatar’s hospitality sector was again boosted with the opening of the 105-bedroom Premier Inn Doha Airport Hotel – the second Premier Inn in the country – located in the city’s Old Airport area.
The ribbon cutting ceremony took place last week, on 22 January and celebrated with officials of the Al Majed Group led by its chairman, Ahmad Al Majed, and the Managing Director of Premier Inn Hotels Middle East, Adam Nicholls.
The hotel opening follows a management agreement between Premier Inn, the UK’s largest hotel brand, and Qatar’s Al Majed Group and responds to the increasing local demand for high quality, high value accommodation and services.
Guests visiting Premier Inn are guaranteed a good night’s sleep on their super-comfy Hypnos bed, with a choice of pillows and black out curtains to send anyone off to sleep with ease. There’s also plenty of space for little ones, with spacious family rooms accommodating up to two adults and two children. Kids 15 years old and younger stay for free. Families and guests will also be treated to their legendary all-you-can-eat breakfast, served in their all-day dining restaurant Omnia; or they can take advantage of the 24/7 room service.
For business travellers, the hotel offers a range of well-equipped meeting room facilities and business centre services. With free WiFi throughout the hotel, you can stay connected to your office, friends and family. Refreshment packages for delegates are also available to book in advance and guests can enjoy free on-site parking.
According to Rajiv Tarcar, Country General Manager for Premier Inn Hotels, Doha is making a huge name for itself as an international sporting event and tourism destination. He said that Premier Inn is looking forward to be a major player in the Qatari hospitality sector, providing travellers with a wider selection of affordable accommodation while maintaining the uncompromising standards of the Premier Inn brand.
Britain’s most-loved hotel brand is now equally well-known and respected in this region. The product has been extremely well received in Qatar, and guests in our new hotel, which is just 10 minutes from Hamad International Airport, as well as the Corniche and West Bay, will find us suitably placed to serve their needs whether they are visiting for leisure or business.’
The hotel is ideally located in the centre of Doha’s old town, just 10 minutes from Hamad International Airport, from where it operates a complimentary shuttle bus. Guests can discover Doha’s most popular attractions, with Souq Waqif, the Museum of Islamic Art (MIA) and the National Museum of Qatar just a short ride away.
At Omnia, guests can tuck in to tasty international dishes or authentic Arabic cuisine from the a la carte menu, while families can benefit from kid-friendly choices, including pizza, pasta and burgers, at parent-friendly prices.
