SEK International School Qatar recently celebrated the graduation of their Grade 10 and 12 students in the presence of SEK President Nieves Segovia, Vice President of SEK Education Group José Luis Delso, and guests of honour, the Ambassador of Spain to Qatar HE Belén Alfaro, and Deputy Head of Mission of the Embassy of Spain Fernando de Castro.
As a learning organisation aimed at modelling values and practices for students, the school built on the belief that ‘education is a journey without end, only horizons’. For over one hundred and twenty-five years, SEK has unceasingly sought a new, and better, educational horizon, without ever settling for anything less. That is the keystone of SEK’s entire education model, that students learn to learn, but also to unlearn and relearn, to be able to tackle life’s only constant, that is: change.
SEK International School Qatar is part of the SEK International Schools group, and a member of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education’s Outstanding Schools Programme. They became an IB World School during the 2014 – 2015 Academic Year, authorised to offer the Primary Years Programme, and in March and April 2016 achieved authorisation to offer the Middle Years and Diploma Programmes, respectively.
SEK-Qatar offers education in English with access to study Spanish and Arabic as additional languages.
The school extends its congratulations to all grade 10 and 12 students for achieving this important milestone, as well as to the parents and teachers for their invaluable support. For more information about SEK International School Qatar, visit sek.qa.
