Sofra at Alwadi Hotel MGallery has become a Marhaba favourite, and has now launched a must-try Levantine Brunch on Fridays. Feast on the finest Levantine cuisine and regional delicacies in the most unique way, with generous servings and several food stands to satisfy all palates.

The brunch began with a buffet, with enticing cold and hot appetisers of favourites from the Levant region, which includes cold salads such as beetroot, fattoush, tabbouleh, warak enab (stuffed grape leaves), and more. A highlight of the cold appetisers is Sofra’s Signature Hummus Selection, which are the chef’s exceptional signature hummus preparations – different flavours such as Hummus Beiruti (hummus with parsley, lemon juice and cumin powder), Avocado Hummus (hummus with avocado puree), Hummus with Pomegranate Molasses (hummus blended with pomegranate molasses) and Chili Hummus (hummus with chili paste).

From the hot appetisers, choose from a selection of falafel, keebeh, vegetable rolls, and cheese sambousa platters. There are also cheese, zaatar, meat and pizza pastries at another stand.

For the seafood lovers, there’s a seafood stand, which is like a mini-fish market where you can choose from a selection of shrimp, mussels, calamari, lobster and more to be cooked or prepared to your liking.

Nearby, meat and rice lovers can opt to grab from a huge platter of richly spiced and well-cooked lamb, accompanied by richly flavoured rice with nuts and vegetables. Add more nuts, onions and tomato sauce that are placed to the side if you’d like more flavour.

A little further down is the much-anticipated cheese stand where you can find various types of cheese from all over the world, surrounded by freshly baked breads and pastries. Grab some nuts, prunes, cranberries or honey that are placed on the side.

Not full yet? Scan the barcode on your table to choose from a versatile àla carte menu for a main dish. We enjoyed an ‘eggcellent’ Shakshouka with Chunky Tomato Sauce and Arabic Flatbread, and sweet yet savoury Southern Fried Chicken and Red Velvet Waffles. You can choose from 10 other mains, including Shaved Turkey Reuben, Pan Seared Salmon, Breakfast Taco Bowl, Wagyu Beef Brisket, Grilled Lamb Burger, Chicken Fajitas, Dutch Baby Pancake and more.

The brunch continues with sweet endings, a lavish assortment of desserts from fruits to cakes to chocolates to ice cream, to even popcorn and cotton candy (to entice the little ones). Endless choices of delicious sweet delicacies!

This is a delectable brunch destination for all – couples, families, friends or even colleagues!

Sofra at Alwadi Hotel Mgallery is where you can enjoy traditional cuisine with contemporary tastes. The charming restaurant is designed to be reminiscent of Qatari culture and local traditions, with dhow boats, pearl diving and travel bags adorning the walls.
