Souq Waqif Boutique Hotels is launching a number of specially-designed offers for families to make the most of the upcoming Souq Waqif Spring Festival.
The annual festival, sponsored by Souq Waqif Boutique Hotels and organized by Souq Waqif administration and Sawt Al-Rayyan Radio, runs from 24 January to 6 February 2014 and is now in its third year. The festival takes place in the Souq and attracts thousands of visitors and features two weeks of family-friendly fun including parades, shows, plays, music featuring top Arab stars and children’s entertainment.
During the Festival Souq Waqif Boutique Hotels offers in each of its seven hotels located throughout the renowned Souq Waqif, a luxurious ‘home from home’ for families who want to enjoy Qatar’s culture, entertainment and heritage.
The group’s ‘Spring Festival Deluxe’ offer includes two nights in one of the hotel collection’s uniquely-styled suites for two adults, where children up to six years of age can stay for free and children from six to 15 years can enjoy a 50% discount (with a maximum of two children per room); limousine collection from the airport, a Spring welcome package of fruit or handmade cupcakes and pastries on arrival and full buffet breakfast with traditional Arabic and continental delicacies on both days.
Guests can also relax in the refined surroundings of La Piazza to enjoy a tailor-made Spring Festival dinner menu consisting of five courses. The nightly entertainment show, which features top singers and musicians in a purpose-built outdoor auditorium, is one of the highlights of the Spring Festival. Stars performing at this year’s Festival include Rabeh Saqr, Saber Robayy, Ebadi Al Johari, Assala, Abu Bakr Al-Salem, Abdullah Al Rowaished, Diana Haded, Fahd al-Qubaisi, Nawal, Fares Karam, Nancy Ajram, Ragheb Alama, Kazem El Saher, Ali Abdul Satter and Mohammed Abdo. For SWBH guests, the offer includes VIP family tickets to the show on both nights of their stay.
To make the event into a truly memorable occasion, families have the opportunity to dine on one of the SWBH collection’s three historic wooden Dhow boats – Lusail 1, 2 and 3. With butler service and gourmet Arabic and international dishes from the on-board chef, it is the perfect way to experience Doha’s harbor, taking in a stunning sunset and looking out on the glittering West Bay skyline.
